Why do you say you are A.S.H. Free?
What is “A.S.H. Free” or “No A.S.H.”?
The three components of the ASH debate are the use of antibiotics, steroids and hormones in livestock, and the connection these have to the overall health of animals and humans. This has become a national debate with concerns that the overuse of antibiotics, in both people and livestock, has led to antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections and diseases. A similar controversy involves the use of added hormones and steroids to increase an animal’s muscle and weight to maximum monetary gain.
Why do you say you are A.S.H. Free?
That is a great question! At Living Water Ranch, LLC, we routinely do NOT give our cows any antibiotics, growth hormones, or steroids to bulk them up. All of our cows are 100% Grass-Fed (to include grass finished). NO GMO's, no growth- hormones, and no antibiotics are used. The cows are brought up and finished on grass only, and during the winter season on dried grasses. Growth-hormones or antibiotics are NOT used for our premium Angus beef. Should an animal get sick and an antibiotic needs to be administered for medical necessity, that animal will WILL NOT be sold as our ASH Free, premium Angus beef.
